Cutting fabrics

Last week, not only did I have to attend HMRC  RTI training...  boring but at least I know what to do now!  The best part was cutting some tulle for a wedding dress. Although cutting light weight fabrics is difficult to manage you can produce some great results. Hopefully I'll get some photos of the finished dress soon so I can share with you all.

New year, new year resolution.... I'm going to regularly write a blog! It's been hard getting back into work after such a wonderful break but I expect that's the same for everyone.
It never ceases to amaze me what comes in through the door each day. We've cut ply wood postcards for paper Bird design, acrylic hearts for lady Muck and we are awaiting the dreaded dental instruments for marking.
As ever Hannah keeps us busy with her parchment cutting. her designs are breathtaking and I thought I'd feature some of them this time. This example is of her Alium shade which is one of my personal favourites!
This example shows how we engrave the parchment to achieve different amounts of shade on the lampshade.

Good luck in your new studio Hannah.
